Lithuanian airports including Vilnius, Kaunas and Palanga reported record traffic in 2011, according to reports in The Baltic Times. 2.7 million passengers passed through Lithuanian airports in 2011, a 17.9% year-on-year increase. Transport and Communication Minister Eligijus Masiulis said, “The rapidly increasing passenger flow for the second year in a row shows that air transportation is being expanded very successfully in the country.
