Latvia’s Minister of Transport Rihards Kozlovskis said the government planned to seek parliamentary authorisation to secure up to EUR30 million of temporary financing for airBaltic and supported extending repayment of a EUR30 million state loan from 31-Aug-2026 to 31-Dec-20261. Latvia’s Prime Minister Andris Kulbergs said bondholder backing and a new business plan were pivotal, noting the state lost control in 2024 after a EUR380 million bond issue2.
