Delta Air Lines encouraged by on-going recovery in Brazil

Delta Air Lines stated (17-Jan-2017) it expects momentum to continue in Latin America/Caribbean throughout 2017, citing the region's 5% year-over-year PRASM improvement in 4Q2016 and the carrier's recently expanded partnership with Aeromexico. Delta VP of Latin America/Caribbean Nicolas Ferri stated it is encouraging to continue to see indicators of on-going recovery in Brazil, and while the macroeconomic environment in Brazil remains fragile, the carrier sees signs of recovery. Mr Ferri added: "Every sub-entity in Latin America contributed to positive results on Q4 and we are committed to keep this momentum going. This includes an ambitious stretch revenue plan for the business. We will accomplish sustainable growth and momentum by deepening our alliances, prudent investments and a relentless commitment to safety and operational reliability." [more - original PR]
