Kuwait Investment Authority to start bidding process for Kuwait Airways this year

Kuwait Investment Authority (KIA), which is overseeing the privatisation of Kuwait Airways, reportedly awarded Abdulhameed Al-Sarraf and Partners and Baker and McKenzie a contract to provide legal advisory services on the privatisation of the carrier (MEED/AMEInfo, 28-Jun-2010) The consortium will reportedly prepare a preliminary report on the legal ramifications and processes required for the sale of the carrier by the end of Aug-2010, with KIA reportedly planning to start bidding for the company by the end of the year.
