Kuwait International Airport begins heavy construction of new terminal

Kuwait's Ministry Of Public Works celebrated (09-May-2017) the beginning of heavy construction on Kuwait International Airport's new passenger terminal on 09-May-2017. The 708,000sqm passenger terminal is currently being constructed by Limak Insaat, and will have the capacity to handle 25 million passengers p/a and accommodate all aircraft types through 51 gates and stands. Air traffic has increased by 10% p/a in the past 10 years, reaching 12 million passengers in 2016, The number of passengers is expected to exceed 23 million in 2027.
