KLM makes first biofuel test flight with passengers

KLM Royal Dutch Airlines conducted (23-Nov-2009) a flight partly powered by a 50:50 mix of biofuel and tradtional aviation fuel. The one hour demonstration flight had a number of Dutch government officials and industry partners on board - the first time passengers have been on board a biofuels demonstration flight. The flight used a 50/50 mix of UOP's second generation biofuel and traditional petroleum-derived jet fuel. [more - KLM] [more - UOP]
