Transavia backed the Netherlands' Association of Travel Agents and Tour Operators and Dutch airlines in calling for a uniform European aviation tax, warning widening tax disparities would hurt consumers and the Dutch aviation sector, while Transavia CEO Paul Terstegge said sustainability investments required "fair agreements within Europe" and a level playing field1. KLM previously welcomed the coalition agreement's recognition of Schiphol's hub role and said it expected swift alignment of Dutch aviation tax at least with Germany's level2.
