Kingfisher seeking to raise up to USD200 million in four months

Kingfisher Airlines' owner, the United Breweries Group, reportedly announced plans to raise up to USD200 million in three to four months and is in talks with investment banks (vccircle, 11-Jan-2010). The carrier is also reportedly considering global depository receipts, a rights issue or private equity placement.

United Breweries:
"We have begun talking to investment bankers and fund-raising within three to four months is a possibility. The deal size has not been finalised yet but we will be looking to raise upwards of USD200 million," Ravi Nedungadi, President and CFO. Source: vccircle, 11-Jan-2010.
