Kingfisher loss before tax doubles in 2QFY2013

Kingfisher revenue down 87% – financial highlights for three months ended 30-Sep-2012:

  • Revenue: INR2000 million (USD36.3 million), -87.1% year-on-year;
  • Costs:
    • Fuel: INR1665 million (USD30.2 million), -73.0%;
    • Labour: INR470.1 million (USD8.5 million), -74.3%;
  • Profit (loss) from ordinary activities before tax: (INR11,165 million) (USD202.9 million), compared to a loss of INR5938 million (USD107.9 million) in p-c-p;
  • Profit (loss) from ordinary activities after tax: (INR7537 million) (USD137.0 million), compared to a loss of INR4887 million (USD88.8 million) in p-c-p;
  • Total assets: INR90,692 million (USD1648 million), -0.1% when compared to period ended 31-Mar-2012;
  • Cash and cash equivalents: INR1485 million (USD27.0 million), -18.5%;
