Kenyan airport's new cargo facility signs first airline customers

Kenya's Jomo Kenyatta International Airport signed an agreement with SkyCargo and Astral Aviation to be the first airline customers at its new Transglobal Cargo Centre (Airport Technology, 16-Sep-2010). The cargo centre includes a multi-storey elevating transfer vehicle-based perishables handling system with a capacity for storing 160 pallets, a 1,000sqm perishables inspection and re-packing area, roller-bed access, cargo handling capacity of 250,000 tonnes p/a and a 12,351sqm warehouse.
