Joby Aviation entered the final phase of certification for its electric air taxi, having completed initial US FAA testing under type inspection authorisation, and aimed to begin TIA flight testing with its first FAA conforming aircraft in 2025. It also formed a partnership with Jetex to support Middle East operations and submitted a letter of intent for UAE air operator certification to become the first certified electric air taxi operator in the UAE1 2 3.
