JAL remains "neutral" on international partner; decision to be made "as soon as possible"

Japan Airlines President, Masaru Onishi, stated discussions with an alliance partner are continuing, with the company's stance on the matter remaining "neutral", but added that a decision on a partner will be made "as soon as possible", reportedly by 15-Feb-2010 (Kyodo/Bloomberg/ Dow Jones/AP/AFP, 02-Feb-2010). JAL's new Chairman, Kazuo Inamori, added that the carrier plans to enact a rehabilitation plan "swiftly and steadfastly" (NQN, 01-Feb-2010).
