Irish Aviation Authority’s final decision on summer 2026 capacity at Dublin Airport allowed for up to 25 additional daily slots and, following a High Court order, did not take account of the 32 million passengers p/a planning cap or include any seat cap parameter.1 IATA director general Willie Walsh told the Joint Oireachtas Committee on Transport that uncertainty over the cap risked route development and warned airlines would plan summer 2027 on the assumption the cap remained unless certainty was restored before 01-Oct-2026.2
