Ireland Commission for Aviation Regulation to make final decision in airport charges this week

Ireland's Commission for Aviation Regulation plans to make a final decision this week on rules regarding the establishment airport charges for the next five years (Irish Independent, 30-Nov-2009). The commission established a draft determination for the charges earlier this year, in which it approved a 13% rise in airport charges, to EUR8.35 per passenger. Dublin Airport Authority (DAA) is currently seeking a 30% increase, to cover its EUR1.3 billion capital expenditure programme.
