Investors still have 'appetite' for Asian airline share offerings: AAPA

Association of Asia Pacific Airlines (AAPA) director general Andrew Herdman stated investors still have an "appetite" for share offerings by Asian airlines due to their track record of profitability (CNA, 15-Jun-2011).

Association of Asia Pacific Airlines: "Asia has a good story to tell. We have seen tremendous growth in the past. Looking forward, we see a continued expansion of aviation. Aviation has been a key driver in economic and social development in this part of the world, and it is widely understood to be a positive force, so we see continued growth opportunities and that will obviously need to be financed, but there is an appetite. It is only airlines that have succeeded in having two, three years of successful operations and successful commercial results, then they can go for IPO," Andrew Herdman, director general.
