IATA reports (28-Feb-2011) the following total international traffic growth by region in Jan-2011:

• Passenger traffic (RPKs): +8.2% year-on-year;
  • Africa: +14.3%;
  • Asia Pacific: +5.8%;
  • Europe: +7.9%;
  • Latin America: +11%;
  • Middle East: +11.7%;
  • North America: +8.7%;
• Passenger load factor: 75.7%;
  • Africa: 68.7%;
  • Asia Pacific: 77.7%;
  • Europe: 73.9%;
  • Latin America: 79.7%;
  • Middle East: 75.8%;
  • North America: 77.2%;
• Cargo traffic (FTKs): +9.1%;
  • Africa: +7.9%;
  • Asia Pacific: +6.4%;
  • Europe: +8.6%;
  • Latin America: +12.7%;
  • Middle East: +13.8%;

IATA: "Prospects for 2011 are quite positive. In January, the confidence of manufacturing and service businesses, measured across major economies by Markit/JP Morgan, rose to its highest level since April 2006.
