Pertamina began its first shipments of SAF made from used cooking oil in Aug-2025 for use by Pelita Air Service, following its 1Q2025 certification and the Cilacap refinery's capacity to process 6000 barrels of used cooking oil daily into SAF and hydro-treated vegetable oil1 2. Batik Air's CEO stated the government has mandated 1% SAF for international flights from 2027, increasing to 2.5% by 2030 and 50% by 20603.
