Iberia to cancel 440 services due to 48-hour strike action

Iberia announced plans to cancel 440 services (approximately 25% of total services), due to a 48-hour cabin crew strike, effective 25-Oct-2009, including domestic, European and trans-Atlantic services (BreakingNews/PA News, 25-Oct-2009). The strike has been called by labour unions which want an end to a four-year pay freeze. Stoppages are also planned for 10/11-Nov-2009.
