Iberia reorganises management structure

Iberia announced (27-Aug-2009) the reorganisation of its top management structure, following the appointment of Chairman and CEO, Antonio Vázquez, six weeks ago. Under the new management structure, the airline division will be split into two units: a Commercial and Clients Division, focused on revenue generation, and a Production Division, charged with enhancing profitability. A new Purchasing and Services Division has also been created: Division heads will be:

  • Commercial and Clients Division: Manuel Lopez (currently manager of the Maintenance and Engineering Division);
  • Production Division: Juan Bujia (currently head of the production management unit);
  • Purchasing and Services Division: José María Fariza (previously responsible for control and administration);
