Iberia receives first A350, represents 'new transformation' for the carrier

CAPA - Centre for Aviation stated (26-Jun-2018) Iberia received its first A350-900 (EC-MXV, MSN 219), as recorded by the CAPA Fleet Database. The airline's maiden A350 was ferried from Toulouse to Madrid on 26-Jun-2018 and is configured with 31 business, 21 premium economy and 293 economy seats. Iberia has 15 more A350s on order and will receive the aircraft until 2021. Iberia chairman and CEO Luis Gallego stated: "In the past few years we transformed Iberia for the sake of survival. Now, we are undertaking a new transformation for the sake of excellence. And this aircraft perfectly represents this change of cycle". [more - original PR]
