IATA reports premium traffic up 18.7% in May-2010
IATA reports (15-Jul-2010) the following premium traffic growth highlights by region in May-2010:
- Total international: +18.7% year-on-year;
- Within Africa: +7.7%;
- Within Far East: +26.7%;
- Within Middle East: +7.2%;
- Within North America: +0.1%;
- Within Southwest Pacific: -0.5%;
- Within Europe: +23%. [more]
IATA: "We estimate premium revenue this month is up by some 44% compared to the same month last year. This is driven not only by a strong rise in the number of passengers but also by an improvement in the average fare and yield.
