IATA criticises aviation charges in Africa

IATA's Vice President for Africa aviation stated that African governments charge the highest navigational charges compared to other regions and the aviation industry in the continent requires radical upgrading (All Africa, 28-Mar-2011). Speaking on "Tackling Aviation Safety and Security Challenges in West Africa- Case Study of NCAA", Director General, Harold Demuren, said that Africa's Safety Record is improving despite the various challenges been faced in the industry.
