IATA: Africa the second strongest region for cargo in 2020, Middle East recovers in Dec-2020

IATA, via its Africa & Middle East regional briefing for Feb-2021, reported (01-Mar-2021) African carriers recorded a 5.4% year-on-year increase in CTKs for Dec-2020 and a 1% increase for the full year 2020. The region was the second best performer for Dec-2020 and 2020, after North America. Middle East airline CTKs increased 2.2% for Dec-2020, recovering to pre-crisis levels, but decreased 9.5% for 2020.
