Hungkuk Life Consortium selected for sale of Cheongju Airport

South Korea's Korea Airport Corporation signed a preliminary agreement with a consortium led by Hungkuk Life Insurance (and also comprising of KAG and ADC&HAS), named Cheongju Airport Management, which was the preferred bidder for the privatisation of loss-making Cheongju International Airport (Maeil Business Newspaper, 24-Nov-2011). This marks the first attempt to privatise one of South Korea's regional airports.
