Hamburg Airport reports 5% fall in 2009 pax numbers

Germany's Hamburg Airport reports (06-Jan-2010) reports the following traffic highlights in 2009:

  • Passenger numbers: 12.2 million, -4.7% year-on-year;
  • Aircraft movements: 157,500, -8.5%.

Hamburg Airport: "In 2009, the commercial and financial crisis had a significant effect on the aviation industry. The decline in passenger figures was nevertheless smaller than had been expected at the beginning of the year.
