GMR Group-led airports put Air India and Kingfisher Airlines on upfront payment schemes for fuel

GMR Group-led Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) and GMR Hyderabad International Airport Limited (GHIAL) reportedly plan to put Air India and Kingfisher Airlines on upfront payment schemes for fuel from 01-Jun-2011, due to outstanding fuel debts (Economic Times, 28-May-2011). Air India reportedly owes USD62 million in fuel debts, while Kingfisher owes USD19.5 million.
