GAP traffic up 3.6% in Aug-2010: warning for future traffic

Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacifico (GAP) traffic up 3.6%: traffic highlights for Aug-2010:

  • Passenger numbers: 1.7 million, +3.6%;
    • International: 507,200, +6.6%;
    • Domestic: 1.2 million, +2.3%. [more]

GAP: "... as of 28-Aug-2010, Grupo Mexicana de Aviación, which operated through its three subsidiaries, Compañía Mexicana de Aviación (Mexicana), Aerovías Caribe, SA de CV (Mexicana Click), and Mexicana Inter, SA de CV (Mexicana Link), suspended operations indefinitely. As a result of this situation, passenger traffic is expected to decline as Grupo Mexicana represented 18.26% of GAP's total passenger traffic in the first half of 2010." Company Statement.
