Gaborone Sir Seretse Khama International Airport to no longer to be completed ahead of FIF World Cup

Botswana's Gaborone Sir Seretse Khama International Airport will reportedly not be complete in time for the FIFA World Cup in Jun-2010, due to "unforeseen circumstances" including weather (Mmegi Online, 15-Jan-2010). The development includes the construction of a new terminal and extension of the existing runway, to be completed in two phases. The entire project was scheduled to be completed by 11-May-2010. However, Phase I of the project will now not be completed until Mar-2010, while Phase II will be completed by Oct-2010.
