French Polynesia's Government announces Bora Bora Mutu-mute Airport works

French Polynesia's Government stated (08-Sep-2021) in order to develop connectivity internationally, Bora Bora Mutu-mute Airport will become an international airport for private jet traffic. A preliminary study on the construction of the international airport has been commissioned in Bora Bora, as well as plans to undertake works on the runway, as well as parking areas and taxiway. The runway will be extended from 1505m x 22m, to 2080m x 30m. The project plans an additional six aircraft parking stands for private jets, bring the total for VIP aircraft parking stands to 10.
