Fraport revenue up 4.3%, EBITDA up 12% in 1Q2010

Germany's Fraport revenue up 4.3% - financial highlights for the three months ended 31-Mar-2010:

  • Revenue: EUR476.1 million, +4.3% year-on-year;
    • Aviation: EUR155.9 million, +0.7%;
    • Retail and real estate: EUR90.9 million, +2.6%;
    • Ground handling: EUR159.2 million, +11.6%;
    • External activities and services: EUR70.1 million, -0.4%;
  • EBITDA: EUR115.8 million, +12.4%;
    • Aviation: EUR13.5 million, +6.3%;
    • Retail and real estate: EUR69.3 million, +4.1%;
    • Ground handling: EUR5.3 million, compared to a loss of EUR4.1 million in the previous corresponding period;
    • External activities and services: EUER27.7 million, -1.4%;
  • EBIT: EUR48.2 million, +5.2%;
  • Passenger numbers: 15.7 million, +7.7%;
  • Cargo volume: 589,556 tonnes, +30.8%;
  • Aircraft movements: 153,581, +4.2%;

Fraport: "Because of the positive business development in the first quarter of 2010, Fraport AG expects passenger traffic at Frankfurt Airport to increase by between 1% and 2% for the entire fiscal year 2010, despite the negative impact of the volcano eruption.
