Fraport 3Q2009 revenue down 4.1%, EBITDA down 10%

Germany's Fraport revenue down 4.1% - financial highlights for the three months ended 30-Sep-2009:

  • Revenue: EUR532.7 million, -4.1% year-on-year;
    • Aviation: EUR186.6 million, -3.7%;
    • Retail & Real Estate: EUR87.8 million, -2.0%;
    • Ground handling: EUR163.2 million, -5.5%;
    • External activities & Services: EUR95.1 million, -4.2%;
  • EBITDA: 186.4 million, -10.0%;
    • Aviation: EUR48.7 million, -16.6%;
    • Retail & Real Estate: EUR72.8 million, -4.2%;
    • Ground handling: EUR14.6 million, -42.5%;
    • External activities & Services: 50.3 million, +6.3%;
  • EBIT: EUR122.8 million, -21.1%;
  • EBT: EUR100.6 million, -40.8%;
  • Nine months ended 30-Sep-2009:
    • Passenger numbers: 55.4 million, -4.4%;
    • Cargo volume: 1.5 million tonnes, -16.0%;
    • Aircraft movements: 503,723, -4.0%;

Fraport: "Fraport expects passenger volume at its homebase to decline by between 5-6%. Schulte prognosticated a higher Group EBITDA than forecast in Fraport's last half-year interim report. Whereas three months ago Fraport expected Group EBITDA to reach EUR500 million to EUR530 million the airport manager now anticipates EUR530 million to EUR540 million versus the adjusted previous year's level of EUR590 million.
