Fraport scheduled operational trials at Frankfurt Airport’s Terminal three from 27-Jan-2026 to 16-Apr-2026, with 8000 passengers expected to participate, ahead of a phased relocation of 57 airlines from Terminal two between mid-Apr-2026 and early-Jun-2026.1 Frankfurt Airport awarded Securitas a passenger security screening contract for Terminal three from 01-Jan-2026, covering a four-year term with extension options.2 Fraport CFO Matthias Zieschang stated Frankfurt Airport planned to close Terminal two in 2026 for renovation, alongside a EUR1 billion project to merge Terminals one and two with centralised security for Lufthansa traffic.3
