France’s Aeroports de Paris wins Iraqi airport construction project

France's Aeroports de Paris reportedly announced Iraqi Transport Minister, Amer Abdul-Jabbar, awarded it a USD42.5 million contract develop construction plans for new airport in Baghdad (Reuters, 02-Nov-2009). The Transport Ministry reportedly plans to complete the airport within five years, with capacity to handle up to five million passengers p/a, with an option to gradually expand up to 35 million passengers p/a.
