French air traffic controllers have repeatedly threatened or undertaken strike action in recent years, primarily over issues related to pay, inflation compensation, and working conditions. Earlier in 2025, the UNSA-ICNA union also filed strike notices in protest at management practices, delayed payments of bonuses, and lack of inflation compensation, citing damaged confidence with the air navigation authority1.
