flydubai reports USD24m loss in 1H2016

flydubai reported (01-Sep-2016) a AED89.9 million (USD24.5 million) loss in 1H2016, a 39% year-on-year reduction. Total revenue increased 5.4% year-on-year to AED2302 million (USD627 million) during the period. Passenger numbers increased 16.5% to 4.9 million. flydubai CEO Ghaith Al Ghaith said: "Our Results have shown the same trend as last year and we expect a stronger second half.
