Flughafen Wien Group revenue up 1.3%, EBITDA up 5% in 1Q2010

Austria's Flughafen Wien Group, owner of Vienna International Airport, revenue up 1.3% - financial highlights for the three months ended 31-Mar-2010:

  • Revenue: EUR123.0 million, +1.3% year-on-year;
    • Airport: EUR57.4 million, +11.5%;
    • Handling: EUR39.9 million, -11.3%;
    • Retail & Properties: EUR22.3 million, +4.3%;
    • Others: EUR3.2 million, -6.1%;
  • EBITDA: EUR43.7 million, +4.8%;
  • EBIT: EUR27.4 million, +9.0%;
  • EBT: EUR25.1 million, +8.7%;
  • Net profit: EUR18.9 million, +7.6%;
  • Passenger numbers: 3.9 million, +6.3%;
  • Cargo volume: 70,391 tonnes, +29.8%;
  • Aircraft movements: 56,822, stable. [more]

Flughafen Wien Group: "Under the condition that air traffic is not influenced by external effects (such as the volcanic ash cloud), Flughafen Wien AG is forecasting an increase of 3.0% in the number of passengers, 6.0% in maximum take-off weight (MTOW) and 1.0% in flight movements during 2010. Investments of Euro 207.0 million are planned for 2010. This amount includes replacement and maintenance investments, but no investments in the third runway, the purchase of land or borrowing costs capitalised during construction," Company statement.
