Flughafen Wien Group revenue down 8.5%, EBITDA down 17.6% in 2009

Austria’s Flughafen Wien Group, operator of Vienna Airport, reports (25-Mar-2010) the following financial highlights for the 12 months ended 31-Dec-2009:

  • Revenue: EUR501.7 million, -8.5% year-on-year;
    • Airport: EUR226.5 million, -9.7%;
    • Handling: EUR169.8 million, -8.9%;
  • EBITDA: EUR166.5 million, -17.6%;
    • Airport: EUR113.3 million, -15.7%;
  • EBIT: EUR99.6 million, -25.3%;
    • Airport: EUR78.7 million, -19.1%;
  • Net profit: EUR73.4 million, -19.5%;
  • Passenger numbers: 18.1 million, -8.3%;
  • Cargo volume: 254,006 tonnes, -5.2%;
  • Aircraft movements: 243,430, -8.6%. [more]

Flughafen Wien Group: “Despite greater competitive pressure and the still uncertain economic environment, the Airport Segment is expecting an improvement in earnings during 2010 based on a modest increase in traffic and a resulting rise in tariff income.
