Finnair previously said it was negotiating with manufacturers and other parties on a partial narrowbody fleet renewal during its 2026-2029 strategy period, while also considering near-term capacity additions via used, smaller aircraft.1 CEO Turkka Kuusisto stated Finnair was considering an order to replace 15 older A319/A320 aircraft, with options ranging from 15 to 30 aircraft, and expected a decision by end-2025.2 3 CEO Turkka Kuusisto also said it explored adding aircraft via lessors and evaluating secondary markets, and it considered increasing Norra’s E190 fleet from 12 to 18 aircraft after a new pilot labour agreement.4 5
