fastjet reports increased revenue in Jul-2013

fastjet reported (01-Jul-2013) passenger revenue increased 10% from Jun-2013 to Jul-2013 to more than USD2.5 million. The airline attributed the improvement to an increase in passenger volumes on existing routes, the relaunch of Kilimanjaro-Zanzibar service and a 17% increase in ancillary revenues. fastjet CEO Ed Winter said, "These are excellent figures. They show the strength of our brand and the support we are receiving from the Tanzanian population. We expected the drop in travel over the religious period [Ramadan] to be challenging, but our figures suggest that the Fastjet proposition is gaining popularity. This only bodes well for the future."
