Farnborough: Boeing sees return to commerical aircraft market

Boeing Commercial Airplanes President and CEO, Jim Albaugh, stated the aircraft market is returning and he believes that the company can regain and retain its leadership in the commercial aircraft market (Arabian Supply Chain, 19-Jul-2010). Mr Albaugh also confirmed the company will announce a decision regarding development of the B737 and new aircraft designs in the next few months.

Boeing Commercial Airplanes: "We are going to have a significant amount of orders over the next few days. This is going to be a good air show for us and I think it's going to be a good air show for Airbus as well … The market is clearly coming back and I feel very confident about how we are positioned to regain - and retain - leadership in this business … Boeing will set a strategic direction with respect to further developing the 737 and new airplane designs within a few months.
