Farnborough: American Airlines and Boeing complete order for 35 B737NGs

American Airlines and Boeing (21-Jul-2010) announced the airline has exercised options for an additional 35 B737-800s, to be delivered in 2011 and 2012, and to be equipped with blended winglets. The order is part of American Airlines' ongoing fleet renewal, replacing MD-80s with B737NG equipment. The current order builds on an order for 84 B737s that commenced arrival in 2009.
