EUROCONTROL revises 2013 air traffic movements forecast down to zero growth

EUROCONTROL released (02-Oct-2012) its Oct-2012 edition of Industry Monitor, an overview of the monthly trends in Europe. The organisation reports the European air traffic decreased by 1.2% in Aug-2012 compared with the same month last year. Preliminary data for Sep-2012 show a 3% decrease in traffic. EUROCONTROL also updated seven-year forecast, projecting a decline in flights of 1.5% in 2012 and revising its projection for 2013 from growth of 1.5% to flat traffic. [more - original PR]
