Eurocontrol: European flights increase above high forecast range in Jan-2017

Eurocontrol reported (06-Mar-2017) overall European flights increased 4.6% year-on-year in Jan-2017, and were above the high forecast range. Preliminary data suggests average daily flights increased 3% year-on-year in Feb-2017. Eurocontrol also reported the following for industry segments for Jan-2017:

• All cargo: +12% year-on-year (y-o-y);
• Business aviation: +6.7% y-o-y;
• Charter traffic: -4.9% y-o-y;
• Low cost: +9.8% y-o-y;
