EU officials have forecasts that between 5000 and 6000 EU citizens still in Libya, with commercial airlines adding services to evacuate people from the region (EUObserver, 21-Feb-2011). Services out of Tripoli Airport are facing delays, due to high traffic volumes, but are otherwise operating as usual. Libya has also dropped normal exit visa requirements to ease delays and congestion. Individual EU countries are also making special arrangements to evacuate citizens.
