Kazakhstan’s Transport Ministry said Kazakh carriers planned new European services to Budapest, Munich, Riga and Vienna, after Kazakhstan’s Civil Aviation Committee chair Saltanat Tompiyeva and European Commission DG MOVE policy officer Simon Brain initialled an EU-Kazakhstan air transport document.1 The European Commission’s Flight Safety Committee also lifted restrictions on EU services operated by Kazakh carriers, citing improvements in oversight and certification.2
