Etihad planned to increase Abu Dhabi-Sydney frequency from daily to 10 times weekly from 01-Jul-2025 and to commence A350-1000 deployment on select frequencies from 01-Oct-2025, replacing Boeing 777-300ERs, with full transition originally expected by Feb-2026. The A350-1000 features 44 business class seats with sliding privacy doors, and its introduction was highlighted by Sydney Kingsford Smith Airport CEO Scott Charlton as a sign of Etihad's confidence in the Sydney market1.
