Ethiopian Airlines signs MoU with Boeing for purchase of up to 20 777X aircraft

Ethiopian Airlines signed (05-Mar-2024) an MoU with Boeing for the purchase of eight Boeing 777-9s, with an option for an additional 12 777X aircraft. The agreement builds on the carrier's 2023 order for 11 787s and 20 737 MAXs, as previously reported by CAPA. Ethiopian stated it will be the first 777X customer in Africa.
