Ethiopian Airlines and Boeing announce order for four B777Fs

Ethiopian Airlines and Boeing announced (05-Oct-2011) an order for four B777Fs, making Ethiopian Airlines the first African carrier to order the twin-engine freighter. The order is valued at approximately USD1.1 billion at list prices and was previously attributed to an unidentified customer on Boeing's website. Ethiopian Airlines currently operates an all-Boeing fleet of B737, B757, B767 and B777 aircraft in passenger service and a B757, MD11 and B747 in cargo operations. [more - original PR]
