Estonian Air to change pre-flight and in-flight services from 01-May-2013

Estonian Air announced (19-Apr-2013) changes to its pre-flight and in-flight services from 01-May-2013 as part of its restructuring process to become cost efficient and to become a competitive regional carrier. The airline will reduce its fare structure size from five fares to three including Eco, Flex and Business. The airline will also continue offering light fares which include hand-luggage only. Children between the ages of two and eleven will receive a 25% discount on the basic adult price while children less than two years of age will be able to travel on their parent's lap for 10% of the adult ticket price. All passengers will offered a selection of food and beverages while passengers with Business and Flex fares will be served complimentary food and beverages. The airline also plans to update its check-in services from 01-Aug-2013 which will see personal check-in service cost EUR10 for Eco ticket holders. Self-service check-in on the airline's website, through SMS and check-in kiosks at the airport is free of charge. Estonian Air CCO Rauno Parras said, "During the first three months we have been focusing on adapting our network to the real economic demand of ten flight destinations and reducing costs in accordance to new flight capacities.
