Ernst & Yong millennials survey highlights need for TMCs to improve mobile booking capability

Ernst & Young global travel meetings and events leader business enablement Karen Hutchings, speaking at the CAPA-ACTE Global Summit, stated (27-Oct-2016) the biggest challenge is when a young savvy traveller finds a cheaper fare on the web than what is available from the travel management company (TMC). She said Ernst & Yong recently sent a survey to the 1000 millennials in its organisation and the most common response, accounting for 250 of the 300 replies, was millennials wanted to book everything on a mobile app without having to talk to anyone. "We are not there yet", Ms Hutchings said.
